Are you a beer enthusiast? Do you love all things Bavarian? Or do you just love an excuse to dress up and have a drink with friends? Well either way, ‘Oktoberfest in the Gardens’ is returning to Melbourne, so break out your Lederhosen and Dirndl and become part of Australia’s largest Bavarian festival.
On Saturday the 14th of October, Melbourne Showgrounds will play host to Australia’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration. With each ticket you will receive a complimentary take home event Stein and a German beer on entry to kick start your day and welcome you to the festival.
The event starts from 2pm and takes you into the night with live music across multiple stages up until 10pm. The day will be filled with roving performers, German food stalls, games rides and competitions.
Do you think you have what it takes to be this year’s Mr or Miss Oktoberfest? Think you have the strength to go head to head in a Stein holding? Or the stomach of steel to be the next Bratwurst eating champion? Show off your talent in one of the many on stage competitions throughout the day.
Last year’s festival was a sold out event, so jump online, get yourself a costume and prepare yourself for a day of German beers and Pretzels.
