Melbourne’s *Subjectively* Best Burgers

Now that Burger King’s Peace Day burger is becoming a thing, we figured that it was time to write a tried and tested, and no doubt controversial, post about the best burgers in Melbourne. Bring on the hate!

As everyone knows, Melbourne does food really REALLY well.

However, amongst the plethora of amazing deep fried treats, healthy stuffed deliciousness, and pop up oddities, one food item reigns supreme.

That, my friends, is the burger.

Throughout my travels of Melbourne, I have tried some amazing burgers, and some of them I would have to say are the best burgers that I have had out of the countries that I have travelled to (big call!)

Read below for my top 7 best burgers in Melbourne and prepare to drool.

Grand Trailer Park Taverna

Oh. My. Sweet. Grilled. Cheesus. These burgers are to die for. I’m not kidding, my dream death would be from their bacon. I’ve been there multiple times and they never fail to deliver, especially with a side of spiked milkshake!

Crispy, deliciouness, get in my belly!

Tank Fish & Chips

Since moving to Carlton, I have learned a few things. 1. North Siders really like North Side. 2. Tank’s Wagyu Burger (WITH bacon) is the ultimate feast. We think it’s the bun. Unfortunately, this is only available at the Carlton store, and not in Emporium, just FYI.

Jump on it!

Huxtaburger

These ever popular, mouth-wateringly sweet, buns are what Huxtaburger brings to the table. The leg shaking feeling as you bite into that wagyu beef, tangy pickles, just the right amount of sauce.. You can’t go wrong with this popular Melbourne haunt.

Everything I need in my life

1090 Burger

This is a big call, but I’m pretty sure I have found my ultimate cheeseburger. Tangy, melt in your mouth, deliciousness, this store on Swan Street is so close to my work that I will never be able to diet whilst working here.

The Beer and Burger Bar

I am all about brioche buns. That delicious feeling when it’s toasted just right.. sigh. And when you add sinfully delicious beer, you will probably feel like belting out Warrant’s “Heaven”. Even better, it’s near to the MCG, the perfect stop before the footy.

Try The Don, but don’t come crying to me when you have a coronary!

Easey’s

I’m not sure what I love the most about Easey’s: the burgers, the view of Melbourne, or the free soft drink refills. With the ability to make your own burger with dim sims and potato cakes as an option, I decided to take the stairs afterwards.

I double dare you to try the Melbourne Madness!

Little Creatures Dining Hall

Pulled Pork is everywhere these days and what I have found is that people are starting to get lazy with it. But not Little Creatures, oh no, their pulled pork sliders make me want to eat until I puke, and then eat some more.

My arteries are hardening just writing this.

So, now that I have listed what I think are the best burgers in Melbourne, I’ll bet you are all frothing about what I have missed. Email your suggestions through here, or let me know on Facebook.

I promise to try all of your suggestions, for science..
