Inaugural Night Poodle Markets, Dog Parade & Family Day

by Monica Nguyen

This year’s Melbourne Night Noodle Markets, co-presented by Citi and Optus, will make a special debut event on Sunday 13th November. This debut is not like any other, it’s The Night Poodle Markets and is presented by Scratch. The event will begin at 5pm and is for one night ONLY. Avoid missing out on an ideal afternoon out with your fur baby.

Calling all adorable photogenic pooches to strut their stuff and wag their tails down a dazzling pink runway. An inaugural Paw Parade will take place at the Night Poodle Markets, making it a special event for your canines, whether they be a participant or spectator. This is your chance to show off your pup and dress your fur baby in a cute costume. (Trust me, you’re not biased, your furry friend is the cutest).

Sam T, a humorous host and Melbourne’s drag royalty, will judge each pup on character, costume and cuteness. The wagging winner will take home a year’s supply of premium dog food from Scratch. To pre-register your dog for the Paw Parade head to the what’s on section on the Melbourne Night Noodle Markets website.

Thanks to Scratch, doggos and their owners can grab a photo op with their canine family members or just a doggy pawtrait at the Scratch Patch photo wall. Free samples of Scratch dog food and treats will also be given out in a special edition doggy noodle box, spoiling our four-legged companions.

Parents should be delighted to hear that the Night Noodle Markets will also introduce its first Family Day on Saturday 19th November. The Family Day event begins at 4pm, providing kids and toddlers with three hours of free face painting with Sparkly Sue, a bubble artist, a kids magician, family-friendly stage entertainment and yard games.

By offering free fun and entertainment at a special Family Day, Connor Farrell, Head of Night Noodle Markets, hoped to make an early evening meal out a little easier for parents and a lot more enjoyable for kids this year.
