Occupying the prime corner of Lonsdale street and Tattersalls Lane and centralised in the food hub of Melbourne CBD sits Touché Hombre, a restaurant that has been plating up some of the best Mexican cuisine in this city since it first opened its doors in 2011. The exemplary design and menu sing traditional Mexican street flare with an atypical Melbourne twist.

Natural light streams in during the day, where both lazy lunch goers saver a casual long lunch, and bustling suits nip in for a quick lunch fix on their break. During the night, the lights come down and Touché is dimly lit with candles throughout providing a moody atmosphere that attracts an early weekday crowd, with the place really coming alive with the Friday and Saturday night buzz.

The passionate and friendly team create a family like vibe that welcomes guests from any walk of life. The writing is on the wall with a ‘Tequila’ neon sign glowing from the back of the venue.

Touché Hombre offers a fresh take on classic favourites like tacos, sweet corn and their selection of house made salsas. A secret taco changes weekly and has been known to surprise and delight every time. Using fresh and locally sourced ingredients, Touché prides itself on their quality, authentic food. When matched with their unprecedented service it’s no wonder they have made their mark and solidified their position as a Melbourne institution.

In Méjico it’s all about the agave spirits. With a back bar boasting an impressive 50+ different tequilas, the cocktail list is just as impressive to match. If you’re wanting to really expand your knowledge and step outside your comfort zone, Mezcalito, Touchés’ younger sister waits next door with a heavier focus on the booze side of things.

Dining Options


Make the most of the $22pp quick lunch fix menu, available 7 days a week from 12pm – 4pm, which comes with a serve of your favourite tacos, a serve of elotes and a house bev, you can pop in, fuel up and pop out on your lunch break.

Happy Hour kicks off from 4pm where the Touché team have you covered with $5 Tecate Tinnies, $5 House Vinos, $5 pairs of tiny tacos and $7 Two birds Taco beer.

For a ‘Feed Me’ menu with a difference, let Touché take care of you with their $40pp Mexi Fix menu. Consisting of 4 shared courses showcasing a range of signature dishes, from the fatty lamb ribs, agave fried chicken wings, tacos (of course!), blow torched sweet corn and more. Touché is fully accommodating to dietary requirements, with tons of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options to boot.
