The Tippler & Co is a not only a much loved bar and eatery, but also doubles as a truly unique function venue located just a stone’s throw from the MCG in the heart of East Melbourne. This versatile venue is made up of several different spaces – all of which can flow into the next if additional room is required. The venue can cater for any event or occasion, from a relaxed get together for 10 people right up to a larger cocktail style event of up to 150 guests. The venue layout and menu have all been designed to give you the option to tailor the function to you and your budget.

Even as a young venue (just over 3 years) they’ve already received an abundance of positive feedback about their function spaces and service, the most prominent of which being about their great flexibility – not a word often associated with function venues.  Should you be looking for a space, get in touch to discuss package options and to organise a tour.

Food & Drink


As a bar and eatery, The Tippler & Co focus equally on their food and drink offerings. Each space offers access to a full bar including all beers and cider on tap. Food options can be offered canape style, sit-down, or you can even opt for the option of little bit of both – their most popular choice.  For anyone organising a function, guests with dietary requirements can be a hassle for some venues to handle. Not at The Tippler & Co. They counter this by substituting items free of charge for any guest with special requests.

Audio Equipment


Good tunes are essential at any gathering, so feel free to bring your own playlist or device and they can plug it in.  A microphone is also available for speeches.
