Starward’s distillery is an immersive backdrop for an unforgettable event. Convenient and unique, it’s one of the largest urban working distilleries in the world.

As you’re welcomed through the 1927 warehouse entrance, you’ll notice malty-sweet aromas first. The scent of toasted oaky anise and juicy red berries drift through the air and the sensory games begin. Only then are you struck by the details of the space. Like bright, lofty ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass bi-fold doors, industrial signage and weathered red wine barrels towering far into the distance.

They create award-winning whisky right here, beside a fully-stocked bar. It’s modern and beautiful. And it reflects Melbourne’s unfussy attitude in an authentic way.

Discover industrial-chic, all-season splendour. Light pours in from the bi-fold doors stretching from warehouse floor to ceiling. Framed by our rustic oak barrels and lush greenery, this bar-adjacent space balances 1920s charm with a distinctly Melburnian feel. We’ve got plenty of food and drinks options to suit your needs, and can adjust tables to hold 80 in a cocktail setting or 30 seated.

Masterclass Room

Bring undeniable energy to your lunch meeting, workshop or masterclass with a private boardroom overlooking our urban working distillery. The table seats 18 guests. After work, indulge your group’s inevitable whisky cravings with a private distillery tour and/or whisky tasting, lasting 30 minutes to an hour. For corporate events, our boardroom is equipped with a TV with VGA/HDMI connectivity, telephone, internet access, flip chart and whiteboard.
