ABOUT Shaw Davey Slum
Unique Venue Hire

Located in Carlton, the Shaw Davey Slum is a 1960’s themed venue.  A typical corner pub from the outside, once you step into the venue, you realise there is a lot more to the venue then the exterior portrays.

 Upstairs

Highlighted by the retractable roof, full sized dance floor and full service bar the upstairs area of the Shaw Davey Slum is a sight to behold.   A mix of decorations keep patrons engaged throughout the night. Catering for upto 300 people upstairs, the Upstairs space is a unique offering with a city fringe location.  There are two distinct spaces to cater for different sized groups. It includes a top notch PA (with dual zone control) which Dj’s can plug into and play.

RHS

Located upstairs is suitable for groups of up to 250 and includes the dancefloor and retractable roof.

Campbells Soup

Located upstairs and has all the benefits of the upstairs space with the exception of the dancefloor.

Chevron Lounge

Located downstairs at street level, you can watch the world go buy, open the windows and feel part of the world while having your own private space.  This space is ideal if there are a number of smokers in the group or alternatively if you have a group of 40 or under.

Slum Diner

Designed for sit down dinners, this can be incorporated into a cocktail style space depending on numbers.  With banquet seating across the back wall and full bar access this space is ideal for sit down groups of around 50 people.
