onesixone Chapel St Venue Hire

Onesixone consists of multiple function spaces, suited to a wide array of event types. For larger events, these spaces can be booked together. Functions and private events can be booked outside of onesixone's normal opening hours upon request.

The Rooftop is by far the most popular space of the venue, consisting of a generous sized dance floor, disco balls and greenery galore. The Rooftop can be closed for when it's raining, has a heater for the colder months, and fans and misters for the hotter months. This space holds up to 100 guests, but is ideal for the 70 - 80 mark. You'll also find a fully equipped DJ booth, a bar with cocktail capabilities and private toilets. Plus, smoking is allowed in this space, meaning your guests won't be disappearing for long periods of time. The Rooftop is the perfect space for Birthdays, corporate parties or a catchup with friends.

Enter the venue, turn right and you'll find onesixfive - their downstairs space dubbed Melbourne's Studio 54. onesixfive is sexy and intimate, with lots of nooks and crannies to hide away in before dancing the night away. If you're after a more relaxed feel, the windows onto the street can be opened up. Onesixfive has a capacity of 80 guests, but best fits 50 - 60 people. You'll also find a fully equipped DJ booth, a bar with cocktail capabilities, a
private smokers area and private toilets. This space is perfect for corporate parties, networking events and engagement parties.

Head up the stairs and you'll find the Main Floor, their most versatile event space. The main floor has a capacity of 250 guests, but can be combined with either the Rooftop, onesixfive, or both to reach a capacity of 324 guests. On the main floor you will find onesixone's infamous light-up dance floor, as well as a stage which commonly hosts comedy shows, bands and other performances. The main floor is lined with booths for your guests to relax in, a fully
equipped DJ booth, two bars with cocktail capabilities and toilets. The Main Floor is perfect for larger corporate events such as Christmas parties, art performances such as comedy shows, fashion shows & art shows, as well as university parties and other private events.

Main Room

Featuring the infamous light up dance floor and stage, with plenty of seating available and a large bar. Can be booked in conjunction with the Rooftop of Onesixfive.

Time: 4PM – 9PM

Bar Tab & Drinks

All bookings are able to customise their own bar tab, choosing from basic beer, wine & spirits or top shelf. Cocktails can be added to the bar tab upon request and we can even make custom cocktails for your event.

 

Catering

Catering can be chosen from three different local, partner restaurants. Catering is not required and does not go towards the minimum spend.

 

Entertainment

Bookings can choose to book a resident onesixone DJ for an additional $100p/h, or choose to organise their own DJ. Other entertainment such as bands, live performers, photobooths, etc, can be booked too.
