If ever the phrase 'Mi Casa, Su Casa' was used to describe a restaurant, it would be Fonda Mexican in Windsor.
A green picket fence and stained glass windows lead to a welcoming space with a menu full of reimagined Mexican faves. Whether you are sitting on the vibrant rooftop sipping frozen margaritas, or perched on a curb-side stool downstairs watching Chapel Street go by whilst enjoying fresh fish tacos and perfectly charred corn on the cob, you are sure to feel at home in this bustling Windsor institution.
Fonda focuses on fresh, seasonal and ethically sourced produce to bring guests an innovative take on Mexican street food. From favourites like charred corn on the cob and fish tacos to something more substantial like freshly rolled burritos with fresh-pressed tortillas or chargrilled cheesy quesadillas, Fonda’s wide menu will appeal to most.
With new executive chef Mark Tagnipez (previously of EP&LP in LA) at the helm, Fonda is undergoing a transformation to create a more refined menu whilst staying true to the fresh, casual ethos they currently live by.
Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes to share or opt for the ever popular “Feed Me” option featuring a selection of our favourite starters and main dishes to share. Larger groups (8+) can also choose to take a Set Menu for the table that is easily customisable to your dietary requirements.
Fonda offers a range of gluten free dishes and can comfortably accommodate vegetarians, vegans and fructose-free requests with a variety of Mexican dishes.
With an ever growing list of interesting cocktails, an impressive variety of cervezas (both local and imported) and some delicious Agua Frescas (fresh juices made in house), Fonda offers beverages suitable to any guest on any occasion.
