ABOUT Brunswick St. Cider House – Great Bars

Unfortunately this venue is now permanently closed.

Brunswick St Cider House 386-388 Brunswick St Fitzroy is Melbourne's first venue dedicated to craft and international cider.

The bar design is modern industrial cellar door and is reminiscent of a German beer drinking hall meets winery cellar door. Its design provides a great atmosphere for friends to catch up for some casual drinks or for big groups to come and enjoy a great social drinking and dining experience with a selection of funky jazz and progressive house beats playing in the back ground. The Cider House is a popular destination for ages 18-35 years of age.

Cider House showcases 15 ciders on tap, including 3 ciders poured from a traditional
English engine pump and Kelly Brothers farmhouse cider served fresh from a French Oak
Barrel. There is a range of 40 bottled cider varieties from local and abroad, including a range of Traditional Methode Champagnoise ciders. Cider House has many bio-dynamic, organic options available on the menu and all the ciders are gluten free and vegan friendly.

Independent producers of Australia are the focus at Cider House. The oldest and most influential families in the cider industry are represented well from the producers at Mock
Cider, a bio dynamic family run orchid that was first established in the 1920's in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula to Kellybrook Winery in Wonga Park in Melbourne's outer east, home to Australia's oldest Traditional Methode Champagnoise

This venue also showcase’s some of Australia's finest Craft beers on Tap and a local
Australian wine list that focuses on having the right varietal's from the right temperate regions, Pinot and Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley, Pinot Gris from Adelaide Hills and
Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from Coonawarra and McLaren Vale. A large selection of cocktails and a great range of local and imported spirits compliments all these options beautifully.

The food Menu has gluten free, fructose free, lactose free & vegan friendly options, with a great range of vegetarian, meat and seafood choices creating great diversity for diners.

We also offer a 5 course cider degustation of 5 courses matched with 5 ciders which can be ordered from the menu when you dine at cider house.

Signature Drinks include, live Fermenting Kelly Brothers Farm House Apple Cider served from a French Oak Barrel which is mixed on site daily by our staff. Next to our live fermenting barrel is our Traditional English Hand Pump Station that serves 3 still English ciders from hand pump all are dispensed at room temperature. We also have our crowd
favorite cocktail Apple or Pear Pie or Scrumpy Apple Mojito if you like something a bit drier and more acidic. In the winter months our focus turns to our home made mulled cider brews!
