Situated across the road from South Melbourne Market, Big Huey’s Diner is owned and operated by celebrity chef Iain ‘Huey’ Hewitson. The eclectic menu features a swing through the States and Asia, as well as the odd Diner Classic from Oz and NZ. Not just about burgers (although Huey’s take on the classics is wicked), the menu also features Po’Boys, roll your own burritos, a trio of terrific main course salads, the world’s 2nd best Nachos (Huey is still to find No. 1), a real deal authentic Gumbo and much more! Anyone for Korean fried chicken with Gochujang sauce? The food is very affordably priced and an extensive craft beer and wine list complements the package. Added to this, the music of the 50’s and 60’s, plus live music (which features everyone from Elvis and Johnny Cash to Chris Wilson, Lisa Edwards and Billy Miller) it is obvious that the Diner has something to offer anyone who enjoys a lighthearted drinking and eating experience. “There is no reason to eat and drink badly just because you’re having a bit of fun” - Huey.
