It’s that time of year again, where we all come together and celebrate the ol’ man (although don’t tell him I called him that) – dad! I know what you’re thinking, “I’ve already bought him a Bunnings gift card and an apron that says ‘Best Dad in the World!'” and mate, you have hit the nail on the present head.
Still, if you want to earn extra family points why not also take dad out for a special lunch? If you’ve been scouring the web for the perfect place, your search is over. The Tilbury Hotel, located in the heart of Woolloomooloo (not sure if that word contains enough syllables) have curated a unique three course shared menu for a family outing you won’t forget.
With a sleek and distinctive interior, varnished wooden floors, a cosy fireplace and a tranquil courtyard the Tilbury sells itself the moment you step through the front door. Yet the Tilbury is much more than its superb interior design, with an exciting and refreshing cocktail and fine wine list you won’t be strained for a choice in drink.
Why not impress dad by ordering him a signature salted caramel old fashion, he’ll know he’s taught you well with your clearly refined taste in liquor.
On the 2nd of September, for one day only, you can indulge in these tasty dishes with a complimentary beverage upon arrival:
Stracciatella, nduja opil, hazelnut butter, tuna carpaccio, puffed rice, miso custard, ham hock & chicken terrin, roasted apricot and pickled onions
Mains to Share
Whole pan fried snapper, burnt vanilla butter, roasted lemon and sage chicken and herb crusted lamb shoulder
Roasted potatoes and vegetables
Cranachan parfait, whiskey caramel, orange puree, white chocolate and parsnip mousse and an Australian cheese plate
Look, I don’t know about you, but all you need to say is “cheese plate” and I’m there. This menu has been crafted and perfected by chef Jimmy Richardson, to make dads special day as delightfully delectable as you could imagine!
