Have A Picnis This Australia Day At The CalyxJan 23, 2017

What better way to spend Australia Day then with a picnic and some Cabernet…

In the heart of Sydney’s stunning Royal Botanic Gardens you’ll find The Calyx, a state of the art venue that is architecturally magnificent and fuses art with theatre and leafy green surrounds. On the 26th of January, why not do something a little different then your annual piss-up (pardon the French), and enjoy a picnic in the park.

The Calyx invites you to enjoy a day of utter bliss.

Pre-purchase a delicious hamper filled with local Australian produce, head down on the day and enjoy live entertainment and a few drinks on the sprawling lawns. Kids picnic hampers are also available.

Hamper for two menu*:

Marinated Kalamata olives, sundried tomato, herbs
Roasted mixed nuts
Selection of cheeses
Quince paste & dried fruits
Kurrajong lavosh & rice crackers
Grapes & strawberries
Charcuterie
Freshly made dip
Mini semi dried tomato & chicken wraps

The Calyx - Function Venue Sydney

There will be free live entertainment, face painting and an Australiana themed wine bar on the terrace for everyone to enjoy – because wine and cheese go hand in hand.

Make sure you pre-purchase your hampers as there is limited availability on the day. Picnic rugs are available for purchase on the day, or you can bring your own.

When: Thursday, 26 January 2017

Where: The Calyx, Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney

Time: Entertainment from 11am – 3pm

Price: $49 for a hamper for two | $20 for a Kids picnic hamper | $20 for a picnic rug.
