Cream is a distinctive cocktail bar that is conveniently situated in the Gertrude Street district and appears to have been pulled from the set of a late 1970s/early 1980s sci fi sexploitation movie.

Cream is a fusion of Barbarella, a dive bar in Los Angeles, and a lot of fun.

You are immediately taken to a different planet when you open the venetian blinds. The lounge features a kitsch wooden bar, a flow of booth seating, and gold-mirrored walls with twisted reflections that appear to show an other universe on the opposite side.

The reflecting walls wrap around to enclose a secret disco, complete with a catwalk and spinning pole, past the lounge and bar area. Cream offers a fully immersive venue that's as seductive as its Princely namesake; think gloomy lighting, obscure art pieces, and some of Melbourne's most adored DJs spinning vinyl all night.
