We are Aldinga's best kept secret, hidden away from the main road and privy to the ever-changing landscape of the Fleurieu around us.

We are located right amongst the vines, with a beautiful view of the hills that stretch from Willunga to Sellicks. Down South Distillery is the perfect venue for weddings and other celebrations; just minutes from the busy bustle of Aldinga's town centre, but with a quiet and secluded feel.

You'll find a sumptuous menu of homemade dishes, mouth-watering woodfired pizzas, and a cocktail list to die for.

With live music most weekends, and special community events on our calendar, free games to play with friends, and beautiful beer garden parkland, you'll easily see why we're a hub of activity in the South.

SPACES

Patio

Under the twinkle of fairylights, the patio is where the action is. This Dog-friendly space is the best spot for watching live music, cosying up to fireplaces, watching the Western sky change colours in the evening, and last but not least: it's the closest space to the bar! With tables made from recycled barrels and adorned with wrought-iron vineyard-inspired decor, you can gather your friends for a gin-tasting, enjoy lunch or dinner, or have cocktails while you listen to one of our regular local musicians.

Deck

Separated into 2 sections, this space offers alfresco dining in all seasons. When the weather is fair, enjoy sitting under olive trees and umbrellas, right beside the vineyard. When the wind or rain picks up, our verandah and heaters will keep you warm and dry, while our clear cafe blinds will ensure you can still enjoy the iconic Fleurieu landscape of hills and vines.


Parkland Beer Garden

Prefer to enjoy your cocktails under the blue sky? This is the spot for you. Green grass, bordered on one side by grapevines, and a grown-up-sized swing - it's the most grammable place here. Not to mention it's the best seat in the house when sunset lights up the sky in glowing oranges and purples. Choose a seat, a rug, or a colourful inflatable lounger. Relax your way. There's even a cubby house. We won't judge you if you pose with it.




Dining Room

Situated in the beating heart of the Cellar Door, the Dining Room is where you'll experience the smells and sounds of the restaurant: the pizzas bubbling in the traditional woodfire oven, the tantalising scent of simmering homemade sauces wafting from the kitchen, the bright banter of the staff. The walls tell the story of our family and our craft. Full colour photos show off our distillery's copper stills, the beautiful botanicals that go into our gins, and the people who make the magic happen. Lift your eyes and admire the wrought-iron vines and chandelier that give the space a rustic charm. Our amenities are newly renovated and include an accessible toilet.
