As the name suggests, this CBD wine bar is a place where wine lovers can unite and socialise amongst fellow enthusiasts and friends over quality wine and food.
Developed from a love of drinking great wine with great friends, the team wanted somewhere truly unique, with wine that can’t be found in stores, other bars or literally anywhere else.
The experience at Cantina Sociale is about as exclusive as it gets and was opened with the idea of bringing the cellar door to the city. Small barrelfuls of experimental blends and unusual varietals are offered, these wines often made in such small quantities they never even make it inside a bottle. They source wine direct from the cellar & pour straight from the barrel, using the paddock to plate philosophy to create the evolution of grape to glass.
How is this possible? They have collaborated with the most exciting growers South Australia has to offer and source single barrels from tiny plots of vines dotted around the South Australian landscape, from the Barossa Valley to the mouth of the Murray. The barrels at Cantina Sociale contain authentic, imaginative, one-off wines that that tell a story and make the experience even more special.
Food comes in the form of tapas menus and other platters and nibbles. There may just be a round of cheese in the display they collected earlier from the markets or some fresh bread, perhaps. Maybe even some olives. They offer selections to compliment the wine, making wine o’clock at Cantina Sociale unlike any other in the city.
