Bread & Bone Wood Grill has quickly gained its reputation of having the best burgers in Adelaide, and is always buzzing, even in the wee hours of the morning. Located on Peel St, above its sister venue, Maybe Mae Bar, the space has been beautifully designed, mixing simplicity with a modern minimalist style, and is one of the rare restaurants that is ACTUALLY open till late, 2 am to be precise.

Long wooden bench tables are great for eating in larger groups or if you’re after a more intimate experience, pull up a pew at one of the communal bar stools and watch the busy bartenders concoct a myriad of drinks before your very eyes.

The extensive menu covers a wide variety of burgers, steaks, ‘dogs (the hot kind), barbecued items, salads, and range from classics to gourmet – vegetarians are well taken care of too.

There is a strict ‘no bookings’ policy, but don’t let that put you off. Whilst you wait for your table, head through the secret tunnel-way downstairs to Maybe Mae which guarantees to make your wait more than enjoyable.

Whether it’s a dinner with friends or a takeaway bratwurst after a big nigh on your ride home, Bread & Bone has you sorted and won’t disappoint.
