Bird’s Basement, located on Singers Lane in the CBD opened in March 2016 as a venue that prides itself on supporting live entertainment. Offering a range of acts that perform on the Bird’s Basement stage from Tuesday to Sunday, they have already hosted an impressive list of musicians and stand-up comedians since opening.

Big names musically include Ravi Coltrane, Lee Ritenour & John Scofield, and as for comedians, the likes of Jimeoin, Mikey Robins, Cal Wilson, Andy Saunders and Harley Breen, just to mention a few, have performed side-splitting shows under the blue spotlight.

At the end of each performance Bird’s Basement becomes somewhat of a networking space in the sense that the performers will meet, greet and mingle with their fans, along with signing merchandise at the end of each show. This gives patrons a great opportunity to meet the musicians/comedians, as well as the chance to meet some like-minded people in the process.

It is an intimate venue; with an atmosphere that resembles a small restaurant.  There is a great variety of Modern-Italian food that can be purchased throughout the night of any event, because as in the words of owner Albert Dadon AM, "Great Jazz goes hand in hand with great food and great wines".
