The View Restaurant is located within the grounds of Taronga Zoo, overlooking the iconic concert lawns where events such as Taronga’s Twilight Concerts are hosted. From the restaurant, guests are treated to sweeping views over Sydney harbour with a view of the bridge, Opera house and Sydney's cityscape.

The View seats approximately 60 guests, and is open to the public during Taronga Zoo open hours with walk in entry.  After hours bookings are also accepted for private functions, perfect for smaller groups and corporate events. Guests are offered the option to either dine from the menu, or opt for a more formal event package, choosing from menus designed by the world class, in house chefs.

During the day, the vibe of the restaurant is comfortable, friendly and welcoming, with beautiful wood tables and a nautical theme, with evening events seeing the restaurant take on a more formal and fine dining atmosphere, depending on the desired them and décor. The View Restaurant also makes a great place to break for lunch or somewhere to end the day following a conference or meeting,

Event package menus have a uniquely Australian flare, offering main courses such as perfectly prepared duck breast, with a roasted celeriac puree, caramelized endive and a sherry jus, and equally delicious desserts such as the Valhrona baked chocolate tart with texture of raspberry.

The View restaurant is also suited to cocktail parties if a formal sit down dinner is not what you are looking for, which allows for a fun atmosphere with a variety canapes available to excite your taste buds.
