ABOUT Riverview Hotel
Top Balmain Pubs

Established in 1880, The Riverview Hotel is truly one of Sydney’s classic pubs. Tucked in the tree lined back streets of Balmain it is affectionately called ‘The Riv’ retains its original patina, remixed with a modern edge. When you walk into ‘The Riv’, as it’s known by locals, it’s not hard to see why this much-loved little bar was awarded best casual dining venue for 2015. As they say, first impressions are everything, and the staff at Riverview win patrons over with a genuinely warm welcome upon entry. Sticking true to all the essence of what makes a great pub, there’s a focus on craft beer – discover new favourites with a tasting paddle of four– as well as 12 classics on tap, complimented by an extensive range of fine wines. Great pub food, including gluten free pizzas, is on offer both day and night, and of course; we screen all the important games of the season, no matter what your code.
