Your Guide To What’s On This Week

by Eibhlis Moore

For most the last days of autumn and warm weather are something to be mourned. However as Sydney-siders know, the start of June means the start of Vivid and a time of celebration. But if you’re not into the shining lights of this amazing festival we’ve got you covered better than any grandma-knitted sweater ever could with food trucks, wine and your wildest dreams recreated through art.

This week is nothing short of creative!

Truckstop! Food Festival
Saporium Car Park, Rosebery

Can’t wait for Friday before you treat yourself to eating out and that necessary end-of-week alcohol fix? Well fear not! Sydney has a new food extravaganza and it’s parking itself (literally) in the car park of Rosebery’s Saporium on the first Thursday of every month and it’s premiering this Thursday on the 1st of June!

Bringing to you 6 glorious food trucks to cater for all types of hungry bellies, including Japanese cuisine from Shiso Fine (their yakitori and gyoza will attest to the name we guarantee), Brazilian churrasco grilled by MEET Restaurant, The Shuck Truck’s fresh oysters, vegan sundaes from Over the Moo and an American style diner meal brought to you by The Nighthawk Diner. And if you weren’t already tempted enough there’ll be a special guest food truck.

Beer and cider to complement the perfect meaty dinner at the Coors Australia bar and divine cocktails poured and shaken by Archie Rose Distillery…dinner in the carpark never seemed so glamourous.

Oh, and there’ll also be live music and grand communal tables and marquees to bring this festival full circle!
