ABOUT Red Spice Road – CBD Laneway Restaurant

This venue is now permanently closed.

Red Spice Road is a unique South East Asian-style dining experience in the heart of Melbourne. The communal dining style embodies the spirit of the family unit in Asia, and it is this sense of community that we strive to replicate. Shared dishes are the norm with an infusion of freshness, presentation and above all, flavour. The signature dish is Pork Belly and Black Vinegar. Red Spice Road has private/semi-private dining rooms that can host up to 60 guests. Led by acclaimed executive chef, John McLeay, our menus emphasise freshness, presentation and above all, flavour. We believe food should look great and taste even better! Alongside John, Head Chef Noah has worked with Australia’s best chefs including Matt Moran, Tetsuya, Peter Evans and Curtis Stone. Exploring Melbourne, Noah was so impressed with the quality and variety of Asian food and the freshness of the ingredients and flavours that he decided to make the move to Red Spice Road where he brings together all these influences on a delectable journey through Asian cuisine. Our drinks list is equally enticing, whether you are looking for a delicious and unique Asian inspired cocktail, something from our extensive and approachable wine list or perhaps the beer menu. If the choice is too much, our team will be happy to suggest or match to your meal.
