Northside Venue Hire

Bar 61's distinctive split level venue, located in the heart of central Northcote, provides a variety of function room options, making it ideal for any size event.

Their sophisticated, earthy aesthetics provide a distinct event experience whether you use the beer garden, upstairs private function area, or inside seats.

Our venues are open all day until 1am, with drink and food packages available.

 

Upstairs Function Room

This distinct upper room gives the impression of a private exclusive function. With open plan seating, views of High Street and opportunity to add your own themed decoration, this is the perfect space for your next function. Birthdays and private Hens and Bucks events are ideal.

The private bar offers draught beer, bottled beer, stubbies, house spirits, and wine, as well as function cuisine.

The top level also has its own sound system, allowing you to listen to whatever Spotify playlist you choose or you can also opt into selecting one of Bar 61 own popular playlists.

This room is open from 9 am until 1 am and can accommodate up to 65 people.

 

Indoor Seating

Behind the Front Bar, located behind the main bar, there are sitting and standing tables, as well as booths.

The front bar provides classic and signature cocktails, as well as beer on tap, bottled beer, house spirits, and wine, as well as a selection of our event cuisine.

This room is open from 10 am until 1am and can accommodate up to 40 people.

 

Beer Garden

The urban beer garden at Bar 61 is open all year and features seating, high tables, and standing room. With a retractable roof and heating, the location is suitable for all seasons.

Bar 61 has its own bar with a host bar server who serves beer on tap, spirits, and wine. Cocktail style catering options available or order directly from the menu.

The beer garden also has a sound system, allowing you to play any Spotify playlist or select from one of our own popular playlists for your event.

This room is open all day until 1 am and can accommodate up to 50 people.

 

Entire Venue

Bar 61 can arrange a full venue hire for you and your guests, complete with cocktail-style meals. Packages of drinks and snacks are offered.

Up to 180 people may be accommodated in the whole two-level facility, which includes a Private Function Room with Bar on Level 1, a retractable roof all-season beer garden, and private sundeck.

 

Food & Drink

Bar 61 offers beer on tap and a range of bottled beers which are also available in their event spaces. They also have a range of wines and sparkling wines, as well as house spirits and mixers.

Cocktails are also available to order and enjoy in any of the event venues.
