After launching a successful string of bars and cafes across the southern states, rugby union legend George Gregan and his wife Erica opened The George Bar and Bistro at 111 Eagle Street, Brisbane, right in the heart of the CBD.

The George Bar and Bistro can be found on the ground floor of this iconic riverside building and has fast become a favourite spot amongst the corporate crowd and those seeking a bistro style meal without breaking the bank.

Open Monday to Friday serving breakfast and lunch, and dinners from Wednesday through Friday, the bistro is ideal for a catch-up with colleagues or a knock-off drink.

You can work your fork through a selection of tapas dishes, charcuterie boards and truffled chips, or settle in for a main course.

You’ll find Asahi and Burleigh Brewing Co.’s Duke Helles on tap, as well as a comprehensive list of wines by the glass that will delight even the most knowledgeable connoisseurs.
