June 4th marks International Cheese Day (yes that is a thing) and King Street’s Il Verde has created the cheese lovers heaven.
Brisbane cheese lovers can unite this holiday with Il Verde putting on, not one, but two celebrations.
For the first offer you will want to get in early. Il Verde are giving away their signature four cheese pasta for FREE to the first 200 to stop by the King Street store (takeaway only).

From 12pm to 2pm free servings of their signature dish will be available. A famous creamy four cheese pasta mixed within a cheese wheel, which twirls al dentre linguine and melted Grana Parano with hints of Telegio in the cream sauce, soft Montasio, and perfectly aged Provolone.
Those who can’t make it to the midday giveaway though will love what Il Verde have in store for the second round of celebrations – the launch of Brisbane’s first-ever Aligot!
For the newbie cheese lovers who don’t know what Aligot is – it’s the ultimate representation of everyone’s favourite carbs, cheese and potatoes! With a similar texture to decadent fondue, you can expect delicately melted cheese blended seamlessly with mashed potatoes poured over Il Verde’s house-made sausage. Specially curated for National Cheese Day, this dish is part of Il Verde’s Quatro Formaggi Special.
For only $55 per person you’ll get to dine on their four-cheese pasta entrée before diving into the supreme Aligot and finishing with the crunchy and sweet Cannoli for dessert.
Want a little wine with your cheese? You’re in luck. A glass of house red or white will be available for you to sip on as you enjoy your meal.
