Hervé’s Restaurant & Bar is a French-inspired dining destination in Brisbane, opened in 2022 by local entrepreneurs David Lyons and David Fraser. Designed to be both elevated and approachable, Hervé’s showcases exceptional Queensland produce through a modern French menu with subtle Basque influences. Every dish is prepared entirely in-house, reflecting a deep commitment to quality, craftsmanship and warm, thoughtful hospitality.

A Hidden Dining Destination in Albion

Tucked away on the upper level of the Craft’d Grounds precinct in Albion, next door to Collingwood Black, Hervé’s offers a secluded dining experience removed from the bustle of the street below. The interior features timber finishes, terrazzo, soft lighting and layered textures, creating an intimate, homely atmosphere that feels refined yet welcoming. This considered design has positioned Hervé’s as a stand-out, community-focused restaurant and bar in Brisbane’s inner north.

In response to growing demand for premium event venues in Brisbane that prioritise restaurant-quality cuisine over conventional catering, Hervé’s has expanded within the Craft’d Grounds precinct. Our collection of private dining rooms and event spaces is designed to accommodate everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations, all delivered with the same culinary standards as our restaurant.

There is no external catering and no standardised function fare. Every menu is created in-house by our kitchen team, ensuring each event is a seamless extension of the Hervé’s dining experience.

Tucked away in Albion’s Craft’d Grounds, our restaurant offers a relaxed French-bistro atmosphere - perfect for business lunches, special occasions, or simply enjoying excellent food and wine. From à la carte dining to large group celebrations and exclusive-use events, we offer a range of experiences to suit every occasion. This space is light-filled with beautiful soaring timber ceilings.

Hervé’s Bar

Nestled within a moody alcove, Hervé’s Bar offers a cosy setting for an apéritif, a light bite, or an unhurried nightcap that turns into something more. Come early, stay late, and enjoy the kind of evenings that don’t need rushing. The space can be booked privately or semi-privately for stand-up dining and cocktail-style events — perfect for intimate gatherings with atmosphere and is an extremely popular choice.

The Albion Room

The Albion Room at Hervé’s Restaurant & Bar is a thoughtfully designed private space for intimate events, private dining and small corporate gatherings in Albion, Brisbane. Located alongside the main restaurant, it offers a sense of privacy and flexibility, paired with a calm, welcoming atmosphere - ideal for occasions that favour warmth over formality. Bathed in soft light and finished with refined details, The Albion Room can be configured in a variety of ways, making it equally suited to meaningful celebrations and genuine connection.

The Burgundy Room

The Burgundy Room is our most intimate private dining space, offering a quiet, refined setting for guests who value privacy and thoughtful dining. Well suited to executive lunches, discreet client dinners and special occasions, it carries a distinctly European feel.

Exclusive Venue Hire

We have several different spaces available for exclusive venue hire from intimate private dining to large grand events. Guests can choose to book any of our spaces exclusively. We offer a range of package options but guests are welcome to customise their food and beverage experience. Our focus is to deliver a restaurant quality experience in an events setting. All our events catering is provided for in-house by the same team that runs our restaurant kitchen and we do not use any external catering. As a smaller, independent venue we can offer guests flexibility so that together we can deliver an experience that matches the guests vision. We also have an Events Manager that can oversee every aspect the guest experience. We welcome events of every style and size.
