ABOUT The Gardens By Lotus
Waterfront Restaurants

Located inside the famous Chinese Gardens of Sydney, The Gardens by Lotus is an exciting ‘Teahouse’ style dining and events space. Set under a large pavilion the outlook invigorates relaxation from the get-go. If you can manage to take your eyes off the beautiful surroundings, perhaps you’ll notice the city skyline in the background and remember where you are. But before that grabs you, your attention will be instantly demanded by the heavily Sichuan influenced creations put before you.

The tranquil provides a unique oasis like atmosphere in the heart of Australia’s busiest city. The venue draws from both aspect of its location with its modern interpretation of a Chinese high tea during the day and a modern dining experience in the evenings, as well as ‘The Blue Room,’ a private dining space for events, functions and special occasions.

Join them for High tea, paired with the tranquil surroundings will have you transported to China, as you eat scrumptious dumplings, devour petite desserts and sip on a selection of LoTea or Wine …. whichever your heart desires.  The High tea offerings at the gardens boasts delights such as Alaskan crab, pineapple pork buns and sesame chicken and enjoy a piccolo of 2017 Lock & Key Sparkling, Tumbarumba, NSW.

Traditional and Authentic are the two words that can explain the food experience at The Gardens by Lotus. Incorporating divine wines onto the menu – these accompanied by their famous dumplings and quality produce pair a mean treat! Unmatched is the ambiance of city, paired with the tranquil Chinese gardens.

Simply wander through Darling Harbour or pop your car in the nearby Dixon Street carpark to see all the buzz and activities in the area. Once you step through the imposing red doors of the Chinese Garden of Friendship, your senses won’t know what hit them.  From immaculately maintained bonsais and a variety of unique flora, the stroll across and around the koi filled lake is stunning. Or perhaps the stroll is best done after a meal with Lotus? We’ll leave that up to you.

Speaking of wines, The Gardens by Lotus is proud to showcase an exclusive wine collaboration with Penfolds, allowing guests an opportunity to enjoy these iconic and rare wines. To guide you through this extensive offering they have provided scores on the wine in regard to vintage and style. The team hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Aromatic loose-leaf teas are a signature of The Gardens by Lotus. With Pai Mu Tan Strawberry, Mellow Cream and Ginger Kiss to name a few – if its traditional, sweet, or spice filled we have a tea to suit your every mood!
