The Taronga Centre is uniquely located on Sydney’s north shore within the iconic Taronga Zoo grounds, offering a number of different function rooms to suit any type of event, from conferences, to corporate parties, weddings and private events.
Taking pride on being able to offer world class catering and event management services, their in house caterer Restaurant Associates is a division of Compass Group, a worldwide catering and event services company offering the best of the best.
This room is the largest indoor function venue, comfortably sitting 250 for formal dinners, or up to 350 for cocktail parties, with floor to ceiling windows across the span of the room to maximize the view of the Opera House, Harbour Bride and city scape.
This venue is best suited for formal events such as awards nights, product launches, corporate parties, conferences and weddings. It is able to be partitioned into smaller sections as well, perfectly suited to holding presentations followed by lunch or a formal dinner. The Ballroom is also fully equipped with a state of the art AV system to allow for seamless delivery of presentations and high quality sound distribution for your guests.
The second level of the main function centre, featuring the most stunning view over Sydney Harbour, is the Harbourview Terrace which is also perfectly suited to conferences, corporate events, weddings and private functions. Seating up to 150 people for formal dinners, and up to 190 for cocktail parties, similarly to the Ballroom it too is fully equipped with a state of the art AV system.
The Ballroom and Terrace can be booked simultaneously to accommodate larger groups, and feature the ability to sync both AV systems to run together or separately.
The View Restaurant
The View seats approximately 60 guests, perfect for smaller private functions and corporate functions, while offering guests the options to either dine from the menu, or opt for a more formal event package with menus designed by world class chefs. Although smaller in size, The View looks out over Sydney Harbour Bride and the Opera house, and is situated near the concert lawns in Taronga Zoo grounds.
Taronga Centre Boardroom
This is the main boardroom at the Taronga Centre and is perfect for meetings and small conferences. Comfortably seating 18 around the new hardwood table, it is fully equipped to support presentations, conference calls and other meeting requirements.
Heritage Archway Boardroom
Also comfortably seating up to 18 attendees, it makes a great space for meetings and small conferences and is located within the iconic main entryway arch to Taronga Zoo, with a beautiful balcony to step outside for breaks.
Catering is available in both boardrooms, and packages can be tailored to suit your meeting needs.
The Taronga Centre is proud to work with Taronga Zoo to provide enhanced experiences for guests. You can add a team building element to any event, meeting or conference through the Wild Ropes course, or a scavenger hunt through the grounds.
