ABOUT Big Poppa
Top Late Night Restaurants

This award-winning venue is part late-night eatery, part bar, located on the bustling main strop of Oxford Street in Darlinghurst.

The restaurant serves contemporary Italian dishes courtesy of Liam Driscoll and Jase Barron (both ex-Pendolino), gourmet cheeses, a huge selection of hand curated wines (they just got 2 wine glasses in the Australian Wine List of the Year Awards), cocktails galore and non-stop hip hop music until 3am every night.

Snag a spot between 5pm and 7pm and take advantage of their Aperitivo, which includes $10 select cocktails and rotating snacks, like Brillat-Savarin with pane carasau and blood orange jam or crostini with nduja, buffalo mozzarella and pickled veggies. If you find yourself with a Biggie-type appetite, you can dine from the full restaurant menu both upstairs and downstairs. Don’t forget to grab a bowl of the lamb pappardelle. No trip to Big Poppa’s is complete without it!

And if you feel like you’re not quite ready to go home once your meal is done, you can always descend the winding stairs and enter Big Poppa's bar area for the full experience. Dark and moody with banging tunes and their Notorious B.I.G. floor mural for those perfect Insta photo opps, their bar is the ideal place to cosy up with a tasty nightcap to send you on your way.
