Think of Bartolo as your little Italian home away from home.

During the day, Bartolo’s dining room is light, bright and sun filled. Come night-time, they cosy up with some mood lighting and curtains to keep the outside world at bay. With their kitchen headed by Teofilo Nobrega (ex-Fratelli Paradiso), Bartolo’s menu combines the taste of traditional Italy with world class cocktails and a sophisticated wine selection.

Bartolo’s weekend brunch specials are available from 8am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday and feature rotating specials such as meatballs with poached eggs and parmesan or house made brioche French toast with apple and rhubarb compote with mascarpone, all available to be enjoyed alongside a classic Campari orange or a house special, Bloody Mary.

Bartolo’s lunch and dinner menu is available from 12pm – close each day and offers the perfect combination of smaller dishes to enjoy alongside aperitivo cocktails, or larger portions and plates to share amongst friends over delicious Italian wine.

As can be expected, Bartolo’s house made pastas enjoy a prominent place on the menu, with several varieties available to try each day. These pasta dishes are served in the traditional, smaller sized portions which can be shared alongside other menu items such as mussels with white wine, tomato and cavolo nero, or enjoyed alone as a light lunch or dinner. The pasta varieties change regularly to ensure guests always have something new to try. Oh, and no visit to Bartolo is complete without some housemade focaccia dipped in the sauce served with their Nonna’s meatballs.

Situated on buzzy Crown St, Bartolo is also close to public transport (buses, taxis and Ubers) and is walking distance to Central Station or Oxford Street.
