Azuma is a Japanese restaurant in Sydney’s CBD that has been praised for its authentic Japanese cuisine, friendly and knowledgeable service, and elegant dining rooms for over a decade.

Conveniently located in close proximity to Circular Quay, the Art Gallery of NSW and Pitt Street Mall, Azuma is a peaceful retreat in the midst of the city.

Azuma restaurant has been repeatedly recognised and awarded for its outstanding food and service over the years and owner chef Kimitaka Azuma uses only seasonal and local ingredients to produce his refined and sophisticated dishes.

Lunch is available Monday to Friday from 12pm till 2.30pm, with a range of menu options from bento boxes to traditional multi-course dining experiences. Azuma is the perfect business lunch restaurant for Japanese food lovers in Sydney and has developed a loyal following. High Tea is available Monday – Friday from 2pm till 5pm.

Dinner service begins at 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and Azuma offers an extensive a-la-carte menu and Omakase degustation course. Azuma also serve traditional Japanese hot pot dishes, wagyu shabushabu and sukiyaki, cooked for you at your table. There is the option of a personalised Omakase degustation course based on your preference and budget.

Azuma has a variety of seating configurations including private rooms, tables in the main dining area and along the sushi counter. Azuma is home to a collection of Japanese, Chinese and Australian art with diners surrounded by unique Japanese artwork and pottery, complementing the restaurant’s modern yet traditional design.
