Perched on the Burke Road hill and looming tall over the train station is the Palace Hotel. which was traditionally Camberwell’s first and only watering hole, dating back well over a hundred years.
Today, enter the pub any time after 9am (10am on Sundays) and be met by friendly staff serving up a great selection of beers, wine and spirits. They have 13 beers and 4 ciders on tap, and all beverages showcase a vast array of local Victorian, Australian and International products. From 11.30am the kitchen serves up tasty pub classics which can be enjoyed all day long.
Drop by any given evening and expect to find either comedy, live music or meal specials - sometimes a combination of all three!
Whether it’s a quick lunch with friends, a drink to unwind after a long day at work or a place to kick up your heels, bring some mates, book a table and discover why the Palace is a Camberwell institution now, just as it was ever.
