Ocha has been serving Melbourne it’s unique style of modern Japanese cuisine for 25 years. It started life in an old butcher’s shop in Kew but after outgrowing this location, relocated to its current premise in the refurbished Beehive Hotel complex in Hawthorn, a short drive from the CBD.


Yasu & Michelle, the original chef/owners still head the team at Ocha to produce a menu which highlights local produce whilst never compromising on traditional Japanese cooking techniques. Ocha’s food is made for sharing so that your Ocha experience is a tantalising and memorable one of different tastes and textures. The staff will work with you to create a menu to suit your tastes, occasion and budget or feel free to leave it to the team!
