The Kilburn has been named after the renowned Australian architect Mr Edward George Kilburn who, in 1892, designed the heritage listed building the bar lies within. An elegant, substantial, Italianate style building which originally housed the Commercial Bank of Australia on the corner of Glenferrie and Burwood Roads, Hawthorn.

In November 2016, the interior was redesigned to compliment the exterior, while trying to create something that goes beyond trends and fashion.

Behind the brass bar lies more than 600 bottles. A selection of wines and spirits lie among more than 500 whiskies from around the world. Signature cocktails grace the menu. Using house made flavours, they take your taste buds places they never thought they would go. All that's left to do is take a seat on the luxe velvet lounges, relax and enjoy the evening.
