ABOUT Kettle Black
Best Modern Cafes

One of Melbourne’s most sophisticated food and beverage hotspots, The Kettle Black in South Melbourne, sits somewhere between cafe and restaurant, almost creating its own new genre of venue.

The exterior is a hybrid of modern architecture and classic Victorian charm, while the interior has been carefully curated with modern fixtures, brushed brass, soft oak timbers and marble, all offset by a punch of playful green.

Elegance is not only shown through the interior and exterior design, but also the menu. Still serving the classics, dishes are refined and almost too pretty to eat. Despite the menu being more than your average brunch cafe, the vibe is relaxed enough that you can settle in for a long morning brunch.

Kettle Black is available for private functions & venue hire
