ABOUT Garden State Hotel
Best CBD Bars

Garden State is a beautiful oasis decked out with full-grown trees and glowing spheres with a selection of bars dispersed around the whole venue.

Front Bar

Located in the heart of Melbourne down Flinders Lane, the front bar at Garden State is a classic pub. The bar is situated at the front of the venue, with doors and windows offering views into and through the entire venue and out onto the ever bustling Flinders Lane. Exposed brick walls, fluted timber, stone bar tops, bar seating, booths and a large double-sided gas-log fireplace create a warm and inviting space to enjoy a knock off, catch up with friends or kick back and watch the footy. The central atrium is decked out with full-grown trees and glowing spheres.

Beer Garden

Set at the back of the public bar you will find the beer garden, the heart of the venue that connects the ground and lower basement levels through cascading seating zones. One long bar serves this space so you wont have to leave the lush garden area when your round is up! On the highest tier of the beer garden you will spot the striking copper beer tanks – serving the freshest Carlton Draught straight from the brewery.

Rose Garden

Descending down the tiered platforms you will emerge in the eclectic subterranean cocktail bar known as the Rose Garden. The Rose Garden is a vibrant, intimate saloon, which is also accessible via Duckboard Place for the ultimate Melbourne laneway experience. Bar tops and tables are dotted with fresh rose bouquets in vintage vases, French chandeliers hang from above and the red brick walls are juxtaposed with industrial steal beams and features. The perfect area to enjoy a cocktail from their famous menu.

Garden State Hotel are teaming up with one of Australia’s best wine producers, Leeuwin Estate, to present an exclusive event hosted by the CEO and founder’s daughter, Simone Horgan.
