Basco has been bringing good times to Sydney Road in Brunswick for patrons everywhere. At this mexican eatery, they add fresh Asian flavours and spices to their tortillas, which is not at all authentic, but the end result is quintessential Melbourne and perfect with one of their refreshing sangria’s, spritzes or infused tequila cocktails. Basco Brunswick has an open bar that mixes modern industrial fittings with the building's original rustic brickwork. This visual mix of the old and new pervades throughout with colourful parasols attached to the ceiling, hipster portraits of artists such as Salvador Dali and Frida Kahlo, and graffiti references to more classic Spanish culture.
