The Riverview Hotel is the perfect function space for your next business event, birthday party or media launch. Our beautifully restored hotel situated in the heart of Balmain. It is the ideal location for any special occasion, such as weddings, christenings, birthday celebrations, business lunches, corporate events, Christmas parties, wine dinners and more. The Lounge, the Private Dining Room and the Restaurant are all available for private use and each space provides a unique backdrop that can be individually tailored to your needs.

The Lounge


The Lounge accommodates up to 70 guests (cocktail style) or 20 seated for a la carte style dining. The Lounge also has direct access to the main bar. We offer an exclusive space for you and your guests. The Lounge is ideal for a birthday party, cocktail party or work get-together. The lounge has free room hire and no minimum spend requirements.

Private Dining Room


Our private dining room accommodates up to 18 guests. This room offers an exclusive space for you and your guests and is ideal for a more intimate dinner party or gathering. The PDR is available to book 7 days a week. This includes a 3-course meal selected from our a la carte menu, plus a selection of side dishes.

The Restaurant


Our restaurant can cater for up to 90 people, depending on the seating configuration you require and up to 150 guests, for a cocktail function. This exclusive function space is entirely self-contained and is ideal for weddings, christenings, engagement parties, corporate events and media launches. Features include a private enclosed terrace, private bar and private bathroom facilities. Some audio equipment is available on request. Our head chef, Brad Sloane’s simple and elegant approach to modern dining can be tailored to suit your budget and event requirements, from canapés and cocktails to a 6 course degustation – just ask us!
